As Seen & Tasted

What the world's most discerning wine voices are saying about Jachter Family Wines.

Forbes — Crisp White Wines & The Willamette Valley

When Forbes turned its attention to the Willamette Valley this summer, Jachter Family Wines was among the estates chosen to represent the spirit and ambition of the region. It was a recognition that felt fitting — not just for us, but for the entire community of growers and winemakers who have devoted themselves to this singular corner of Oregon.

The Willamette Valley has spent decades quietly earning its place among the world's great wine regions. To see it — and the wines born from its volcanic soils and cool-climate grace — celebrated in one of the world's most prominent publications is a moment worth marking.

Critical Acclaim

A Voice From Every Corner of the Wine World

In a few short years, Jachter Family Wines has drawn the attention of the most respected voices in American wine criticism. From the pages of Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate to the independent authority of Jeb Dunnuck, Owen Bargreen, Paul Gregutt, and James Suckling, our wines have been tasted, considered, and celebrated across the full spectrum of critical opinion.

The 2022 Cuvée Karen Ann Pinot Noir earned the highest recognition yet — 95 points and the designation of #1 Oregon Pinot Noir in Wine Spectator's September 2025 issue. The 2022 J Reserve Chardonnay followed with 93 points and the title of #1 Oregon Chardonnay in the same issue. Two wines. Two top rankings. One vintage.

Wine Advocate named Jachter among the top ten performers in a comprehensive tasting of over 200 Oregon wines — a distinction that speaks not to a single standout bottle, but to the consistency and intentionality running through everything we make.

For Jeb Dunnuck, Owen Bargreen, Paul Gregutt, and James Suckling, the scores reflect something harder to manufacture than technique alone: a genuine sense of place. The Chehalem Mountains have a voice, and these critics have heard it.
